STAFF Background:
Scott M. Dutcher is an attorney practicing in Alexandria and Long Prairie, Minnesota. While his focus centers on the above-listed legal areas, his work extends into other areas of law to meet his clients full needs. His primary focus is to serve the needs of small families and small businesses in the west central Minnesota area. In 2009, Mr. Dutcher was named one of the Lakes Area Top 20 Professionals by the Echo Press. Scott and his wife, Tessa graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2002 with a degree in fisheries and wildlife. Following graduation, Scott and Tessa moved to Wyoming so that Tessa could pursue her career in fisheries and wildlife while Scott attended the University of Wyoming for law school.
Scott received his law degree from the University of Wyoming in 2005 where he had been the articles editor for the Wyoming Law Review. Scott then took and passed the California Bar Examination and subsequently worked for the Pacific Legal Foundation as a Litigation Fellow. His experience also includes working in Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's Office of Planning and Research in California.
Joel G. Paschka is a 1991 graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. While at Concordia, he met his wife Tara and they reside with their two children in Alexandria, Minnesota. Joel's wife Tara has served the community of Alexandria as a diabetes educator and a dietician. Joel was an Academic all American in football his senior year at Concordia. Joel graduated in 1994 from the University of Minnesota Law School and went to work as a judicial law clerk.
Following that experience, he worked for the David Schauer Law Office in Winthrop, Minnesota. After moving to Alexandria, Minnesota in 1999, Joel took a job at the Douglas County Attorney's Office where he practiced in a variety of areas, including felony prosecutions, tax appeals, child support and a wide range of other legal areas. Joel and Tara are members of Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Minnesota, where Joel has served on the school board for ten years.
